Dr. Elizabeth Hazlegrove

Dr Elizabeth Hazlegrove graduated from the College of William & Mary with a BS in Biology and a BA in Anthropology. From there she got her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia Tech. Upon receiving her doctorate, she began general practice at Powhatan Animal Hospital. A fe w years later she moved to Andersonville Animal Clinic. In 2008 she had the opportunity to purchase Andersonville Animal Clinic which she gladly took.

While building the Andersonville practice, Dr. Hazlegrove still held onto her lifelong dream of being able to practice veterinary medicine in her home county of Cumberland. In 2012 her dream was fulfilled when she built her new practice in Cumberland and combined the 2 practices into Cumberland Animal Hospital.

When not at work, Dr Hazlegrove resides on the family farm with her husband and two daughters. They raise Hereford cattle, hogs, and sweet potatoes. They also have chickens, cats, and dogs. She and her family enjoy working on the farm together and spending lots of time outdoors. Fishing, four wheeling, gardening, and playing with her daughters are some of her favorite hobbies.
